The Up the Creek Ski and Recreation Club (herein referred to as "UtC") provides year-round activities including ski trips, picnics, parties, summer trips, mountain biking, golfing, happy hours, and friendships to our members. We value you as a member and know that you care about how information about you is collected and used. This “Privacy Policy” (Policy) informs you about what information we collect, how we protect it and how we use it.
The Policy applies to the Personal Information we collect when you join or renew your membership through the UtC Website. It also applies to information provided by anyone who signs up for UtC activities. “Personal Information” includes information in relation to you such as your full name, postal address, email address and telephone number. It may also include payment information such as limited credit card information. Finally, it includes requests to the Membership Chairman for changes of Personal Information. When other information (such as member preferences) is directly associated with Personal Information, we also treat this other information as Personal.
We collect this information to:
• To establish and maintain information for the membership database.
• To provide input to the UtC Membership Directory.
• To record registration for UtC events and trips in order to determine member or non-member status for trip and event discounts as well as coordination for conducting these UTC events and trips.
All information entered via the UtC website which includes membership, event registration, and any credit card information is encrypted and stored in secure server databases. All interaction between a user and UtC's website is encrypted end to end using standard internet protocols.
Those having access to this information include:
UtC Officers/Board Members.
Limited information is also provided to:
Trip/Event leaders.
UtC Members through the Membership Directory Lookup via the UtC website (Name, and phone number and email as authorized by the member).
UTC DOES NOT SELL or OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTE MEMBER INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES FOR ANY PURPOSE.
