From our hotel, we can easily stroll the Amador Causeway, view Panama City’s skyline and the Pacific entrance to the canal. We’ll be able to see boats depart from this area, rent kayaks or paddleboards to row in the bay, shop for local wares at handicraft shops, or eat at some of the area’s restaurants (including Arab, Italian, Japanese, and of course, traditional Panamanian cuisine). We’ll be able to visit Punta Culebra Nature Center operated by the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and the Biomuseo, a museum featuring eight galleries showcasing how Panama reshaped the planet’s ecosystems and explore migration, climate shifts and Panama’s rich flora and fauna through immersive displays.
We’ll ferry to Isla Contadora, part of Las Perlas archipelago (Pearl Islands) with its stunning beaches. It’s perfect for snorkeling and diving with vibrant marine life and coral reefs. Rent a cart and explore the island visiting various beaches (there are 11!) and attractions. Contadora is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with numerous species such as frigatebirds, pelicans and seabirds.
Our adventure continues as we journey to Isla Taboga (also known as “Island of Flowers”) on a Catamaran. We’ll sail to the back of Taboga Island seeing the Bridge of the Americas, Amador Causeway and Panama Bay. The trip includes an open bar and lunch will be served on the catamaran. The crew will provide guided information about places of interest. We’ll sail to the main beach and the town of Taboga for swimming in an unspoiled bay, taking advantage of the beach or continue enjoying the catamaran.
We’ll sail to Panama Bay on our Sunset Cruise and view the Bridge of the Americas, the Amador Causeway and Flamenco Island. In Panama Bay, we’ll take advantage of the beautiful sunset and spectacular views of the city while enjoying an open bar, snacks and musical atmosphere.
