Friday, June 23rd
* Morning Hike

Oh Be Joyful Hiking Trail – One of the Best.

See incredible flowers, waterfalls & wildlife.

We will hike approximately 5 Miles

Want more of a challenge? Continue on for up to 13.9 total miles (out & back)
Have lunch in Crested Butte after the hike.
We will meet at the Fly Shop (see Map) at 8:30 AM to carpool.

Meet at the Fly Shop at 6:00
Delicious Pulled Pork and Pulled Chicken Dinner

Saturday, June 24th

* Morning EBike (fee applies) & Mountain Bike Ride

We will do a morning bike ride through
some great trails in Crested Butte
There are 19 Ebikes available to rent - so register now ($54)
IMPORTANT! Select the Gunnison location - they will transport the bikes to Crested Butte

You can bring your own bike or rent in Crested Butte. The EBikes rent for $54 for 2 hours (reserve for 10 AM slot) Select Gunnison 6/24/23 10 am booking. They will haul the bikes from Gunnison to Crested Butte - so select Gunnison - Crested Butte has sold out for our time slot. Other options for renting EBikes or Mountain Bikes: Handlebar Bike Shop 970-251-9168. This will be an off road ride...but I would call it moderate.
We will meet at the Fly Shop (see Map) at 8:30 AM to carpool

Then lunch on your own and enjoy the ambiance of Crested Butte

Double occupancy is standard on all trips. UTC attempts to honor roommate and rooming requests, but they are not guaranteed. Final room assignments are at the trip leader(s) discretion as room assignment changes may be required up to the time of trip departure. In some instances, trip participants may be assigned to room with a person they do not know, or may have to share a bed with a person they do not know of the same sex. If you do not wish to share a room or bed, single rooms may be available at additional cost. There may be instances when a trip participant must pay for single occupancy in order to go on the trip. Please check with the trip leader(s) for more information.

PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT!: Harmel’s has gone through renovations since fall 2021. However, these are cabins you will be sharing (or some of the rooms are in a lodge) and we can not guarantee the number of bathrooms. This is a more rustic trip – it will be very laid back and you will have a great opportunity to get to know people around the campfire, in the saloon, relaxing by the Taylor River or during the activities. All cabins come with fridge, microwave – so BRING YOUR FAVORITE BEVERAGE!

Cancellation Policy:

Up the Creek Ski and Recreation Club (“UTC”) has a No Refund Policy for events/trips/activities.

Exceptions to this policy are granted as follows:

[* Medical, injury or death]: A personal medical condition or injury to you with a doctor’s involvement; death in the immediate family (parents, siblings, children, grandparents, NOTE: pets DO NOT count). The registrant cancelling must be able to provide relevant documentation regarding the injury, medical condition or death to obtain a full cancellation refund;

[* The trip is cancelled]: In some circumstances a trip will be cancelled for all registrants. NOTE: If the venue cancels the trip then UTC must receive its refund from the venue before they can issue refunds.

[* Someone cancels for any other reason]: In this case an exception is granted ONLY if the cancelled spot is filled. In the case where a cancelled spot is filled, a $50 service charge is applied against the refund.

If you cancel in the seven days prior to the trip start date, you will only be eligible for a refund if the cancellation is due to injury/illness/death and you have provided the proper documentation to the Trip Leader.

You MUST go through your trip leader/host to cancel and seek reimbursement. If you meet the refund requirements, UTC will refund the credit card used for the trip/event payment for the amount that you paid minus any applicable service fee. Please allow up to thirty (30) days from the event/trip/activity end date for any refund checks, credit card refunds, or comps to be issued. Cancellations are typically processed in the order received.
